Integrately is an easier to use (and more affordable) zapier replacement that can use either webhooks or an API to connect searchie to any other platform

Will McArthur: Good news and glad the tough work of making this happen -- has happened!!
I'll be curious to know which other Triggering Events are likely to be added in the future... maybe you can discuss that topic today?
Like Video Watching Stats or Commenting... to these below that already exist. Happy happy, Joy joy!!

Will McArthur
The Kwaz: We are definitely interested in expanding the list here. I've just made this post for you to add your thoughts on the other events we could add to the feature:
The Kwaz
Will McArthur: More good news! You're hosting a training in a week or so... right? Looking forward to that! Thanks, R
Will McArthur
The Kwaz: Yup- January 18th at 1 PM ET I'll be covering everything from the latest release and everything else from the last few months.

Great Stuff Will... looking forward to working with these!
FYI -- the "API Documentation" Post (
doesn't link to documentation (yet)...
and if you have any Guidance on the Seachie Implementation of Webhooks... that would be great too...
Ya know... the usual "trigger events" that we could implement in Searchie, so the webhook sees the trigger event, grabs certain data, and blasts it to our URL as an HTTP request.
Is there a whitepaper or documentation on this?
Will McArthur
The Kwaz: Just published an article on these earlier today:
More information coming on our Town Hall today at 3pm.

Another wave of Beta access has been granted. Head to your Settings and look for the new "Developer" menu to see if you have access. If you don't see the menu, sit tight. We'll continue rolling this out to people over the next few weeks.

Will McArthur Beta feedback: the audience.updated webhook seems like it fires... on everything? I was hoping this would be a hook for "the audience member updated their email/name/attributes", but instead it seems to get sent every time a member logs in, visits a page, watches a video... it's a firehose.
I'd love to see it split into two event types: 1) something like audience.updated for explicit changes to email address, attributes, maybe tags — maybe with a "fields_updated" array of the parameters that have changed so we can take action appropriately without having to compare last-known values. Then 2) an audience.activity event for logins, pages, any other updates to last_seen (with a warning in the docs that this may send a LOT of events for an active hub).
Will McArthur
Andron Ocean: This is really great feedback. Have to say that I agree and I will chat with the team about implementing something here to split those streams up.
Will McArthur
Andron Ocean: Hey Andron, we are currently working on an update that will split up the audience updated stream between the details being updated and the activity being updated.
I've created this post to help you keep track of the progress of this update, as well as to leave any comments on our implementation once this goes live.
Will McArthur
Andron Ocean! We've updated this. Please test the webhooks again and see if the implementation works for you. Thanks for your feedback!

Hi all! Webhooks are now in Beta and are being tested with some enterprise clients. I have created a new post for Public API Documentation here: https://searchie.canny.io/apps/p/public-api-documentation

Will McArthur Will there be API endpoints and/or webhooks for videos and playlists, as well as audience member stuff? One of our goals in the coming year is to deeply integrate Searchie with our WordPress site, and try to automate as much as possible for announcements about new hub content. Fetching a list of videos in a playlist, receiving a webhook when a new video gets added to the playlist, and being able to assemble an embeddable player from the metadata for a video would all be at the top of my list.
Ultimately I would LOVE to have API access to Searchie's video search powers, too (search within a playlist, folder, tag, specific video). It would unlock some incredible options for our larger catalog of videos from courses and beyond. And it would give me great confidence in building on Searchie for the long-haul, since I'd know Searchie can grow with us even if we need to grow beyond a Searchie Hub.

Webhooks should be independent of Zapier plenty of tools do webhooks. The idea is to get rid of the cost of Zapier.
Michelle Sandler
William Beem: not just the cost but the task and function itself. Zaps break...are not easy for everyone to implement. It's a roadblock for a lot of people.
