Researching API requirements and potential integration options...

Hi Will,
Shopify and Searchie Integration - would be awesome. This is why:
- A lot of shopify owners have downloadable products - now that you allow documents to be searchable this makes it even more attractive
- I am in the craft industry (sewing patterns) - this is a huge video based industry with sewing tutorials to go with downloadable patterns particularly in the Indi pattern market. It if a 50Billion dollar industry.(they are all over Youtube and tiktok)
- This would create a seamless delivery of product for the customer after they purchase their pattern without the need for expensive Zap subscriptions which for a small business is a huge cost saving especially as Searchie pricing is going up.
Please consider upping the priority of SHOPIFY Integration - there are actually two requests for this which could be combined?
Will McArthur
Jane Harbison: Hey Jane!
This is a very fair point and something we have considered diving into deeper in the past. We will explore our options here and see what we can do.
Do you have a link to the other request? I can't seem to find it. I do see one for SPOTIFY, but that is a different platform.
Jane Harbison
Will McArthur: oh maybe I misread it. Sorry about that. Thanks so much for this.
Jane Harbison
Will McArthur: Hi Will,
Another reason for shopify integration:
Shopify is increasingly becoming a "course" platform to sell on because it is such a user friendly ecommerce platform.
Shopify also has the ability to accept recurring payments for memberships and subscriptions.
Searchie integration paired with Shopify and Klaviyo (one of the best email service providers I have used) makes for a schmick automated tech experience for a business owner like myself who is doing it all.
It would improve user experience as the triggers would be seamless between purchase and hub access. I am currently having to update my zaps all the time as each piece of software updates to a new version. It is getting buggy.
I would really appreciate you looking at this integration again.
Big thanks
Jane

Jane Harbison: Hey Jane, thanks for this!
Definitely agree that the need for a Shopify integration is becoming increasingly more apparent. I'll see what we can do to push this up the priority ladder.
Jane Harbison
Will McArthur: you are awesome. Thanks Will. I see the voting in the group of people already using Searchie has priorities for Thrivecart and Paypal but it would be great to keep this on the priority ladder too. Again thank you.
Will McArthur
Jane Harbison: Absolutely!
The nice thing about Shopify is that they are (obviously) extremely established and their API is well documented and easy to work with. We'll keep it in mind.

Will McArthur: Amy Porterfield is now promoting Shopify in the middle of this episode. 😊https://podcasts.apple.com/au/podcast/online-marketing-made-easy-with-amy-porterfield/id594703545?i=1000633454471

Yes I would love this too. All my products are digital sold via Shopify. Currently when they buy it triggers a zap which then gives them access to The video library. These Zaps can mount up quickly as we add products. Many 'Crafters' use shopify and Klaviyo to deliver their products - it is a 5B industry. There is much gamification that I would love to deliver that an integration would make possible automatically. e.g. when they have spent a certain amount with us it triggers a reward and updates their hub. I am excited by the potential of this.

I would also like a Shopify integration. Is there a work around until that happens?
Jane Harbison
Angie: Hi Angie, my current work around is creating a Zap triggered by the purchase of a SKU. This then adds them to the Hub, adds Tags related to that SKU (I use the SKU as the tag) which then makes Sections available in their Hub. It also automatically sends them their access link.

I have Libsyn and I have no problems with the RSS feed link in Searchie
