Free trials. It's just too expensive to have to invest in another app to do this for my single little hub. This is pretty fundamental for my business.

Please, we need to be able to translate the checkout strings. For anyone where English is not the their first language, this is huge problem.
We are unable to use Searchie's checkout for this reason. Could you please add an option to customize/translate the checkout Strings on phase 2?
Thanks!

Free trials 🙏🏼
Leslie Kaminoff
Searchie offers a one month free trial, and this is an industry standard for subscription platforms. The fact we, Searchie's customers, cannot offer a trial period is a glaring omission that should have been baked into Searchie payments from the start. Stripe needs to get its act together on this as well, and offer it as an option ASAP.

Leslie Kaminoff: Absolutely! I spent over an hour trying to integrate a 7-day trial setting that I made in Stripe into Searchie before seeing your comment. I'm surprised this isn't an option yet. Will McArthur, is there a way around this?
Will McArthur
Megan Spears: At the moment, a $1 trial might be the easiest way to accomplish a similar thing. You can create a coupon code on Stripe that will reduce your product to a $1 and then provide that to anyone looking to receive a trial.

It doesn't make sense that all Stripe customers end up in Searchie, even if they buy a different product that's connected to Kajabi (in my example). Even without access to the hubs it skews the audience metrics. Should be connected to product purchases not entire customer base.

Please add the ability to collect shipping addresses. This is critical for people who sell any kind of kit or box along with their courses and memberships.

I hope you include the "free trial" option from stripe as part of this.
Stripe provides https://buy.stripe.com, but when accessed through Searchie, Searchie uses https://checkout.stripe.com, which does not support the free trial option. It would be nice if Searchie used buy.stripe.com instead of checkout.stripe.com :)
This way the segments in the backend could be configured for "free trial."

Will any thoughts on the issue revolving around selling courses and the challenges around properly billing the taxes? I inquired with stripe and they sent a few e-mails yet it appears we have to bill manually on invoices which are not subscriptions or not reoccurring.
Calan Breckon
Barry Frain: You can actually go into Stripe in the Tax area and manually set up rules for tax automatically depending on country, state, province, etc. It's a pain, but the option is there.

Calan Breckon: Is this a new feature in Searchie Payments 2? I would like to see automation that automatically includes tax calculations on one time payment billings like courses.
Calan Breckon
Barry Frain: no, this is all done through stripe and you have to set up your taxes in stripe in the back end. It will then start calculating everything based on the info you put in and it will build an excel spreadsheet you can download once things are all in and sales start populating.
It will NOT put it in your “balance” area or anything like that though.

Calan Breckon: I did reach out to Stripe on the issue and what I encountered was the tax calculations were automated on subscriptions or reoccurring charges yet billing had to be done manually for one time charges like courses. It appeared that the more advanced systems used an API between their systems and stripe. The issue I also encountered is my CPA advised is there may be an increased focus by the various tax authorities on digital products so I want to ensure to get it right.
Calan Breckon
Barry Frain: Yeah I hear you. I'm working with a tax specialist and they've been a great help, but at the end of the day each country has their own systems (I'm Canadian) and so does each province/state. So at the end of the day we can only do our best, and for me I play the safer game of paying a little more just in case so that if it comes back around at least I can show the paper trail of trying my best and paying the fair amount.

This this this!! I’d like to add order bumps while you’re doing this. I mean you’re coding. These make more money for me than any up sell.
